Four Men Ordained
05 Jun 2008
by: Thom M. Digman, Assistant to the Provincial for Advancement
Very Reverend Timothy M. McMahon SJ announced that four men were ordained into the priesthood by the Most Reverend William J. Dendinger, D.D., Bishop of Grand Island, Nebraska, at 10:00 a.m., June 7, 2008 at Saint Francis Xavier (College) Church, 3628 Lindell Boulevard, Saint Louis, Missouri.
The four men, D. Scott Hendrickson SJ, Hanh D. Pham SJ, William T. Sheahan SJ, and John Lan Tran SJ, all come from varying backgrounds and cultural experiences, but have followed the centuries old Ignatian tradition of educational, apostolic (ministerial), and spiritual training for a life of service within the Church.
“I am so pleased to be able to call together the men of the province and supporters of the Jesuits and our works to celebrate the ordination of these four men to priestly life,” Fr. McMahon said. “These men represent well the rich diversity and the universality of the Church today.”
