International Ministries

Currently 13 Jesuits from the Missouri Province serve in other Jesuit provinces outside North America. Eight of these men minister in the Central American Province, our twinning partner (see below). Two Missouri Jesuits serve in China, one in Mexico, five in Rome, and two in Africa.

Belize
There are 13 Jesuit priests and four Jesuit brothers missioned to Belize which is part of the Missouri Province. St. John’s College, St. Martin de Porres Parish and Elementary School, and St. Peter Claver Parish and Elementary School receive the same status and priority as other works of the province.

Central America and Twinning
The Missouri Province and the Central American Province have undertaken a special relationship known as twinning. The provinces share resources, exchange men, and support each other in the formation of Jesuits. You can read the official Twinning Agreement signed by both provincials in June of 2006:
