Social Ministries
The contemporary Jesuit mission is the service of faith and the promotion in society of “that justice of the Gospel which is the embodiment of God’s love and saving mercy.” General Congregation 34, Servants of Christ’s Mission Social Ministries encompass a wide variety of initiatives undertaken by individual Jesuits, apostolates and the Missouri Province. We promote that justice of the Gospel through regional and national advocacy efforts. With our lay partners we serve as a catalyst for God’s love and saving mercy in our schools, parishes, retreat houses, and by offering volunteer programs that integrate service with Ignatian spirituality. We dedicate all of our thoughts, words, and actions to become visible signs of God’s justice and mercy in the world.
